Liquid first

Whilst KMDC is our new distillery site in Saltash, Cornwall, it’s been 12 years in the making. As a company, this is our third iteration and our third home.

We now know what we need to run a good distillery that allows us to follow our principles of ingenuity and mastery.

So we’ve built the site to enable greater production capacity without cutting any corners:

London Dry Gin: 1200 litre still.
Max annual capacity 70,000 litres
Fibonacci-Hall Gin: Max 2500 litres
Rum: 50,000 litres
Whisky: 50,000 litres

The space is designed for optimum versatility.
Our state-of-the-art equipment allows us to vary approaches and styles according to our goals.

Trevethan Gin

The drink that started it all for us. Born from a rediscovered 1929 bathtub recipe, Trevethan is a Cornish classic refined and improved through years of scientific iteration. A multiple award winner, including Gold Outstanding at IWSC in 2022, scoring 98/100 which at the time was the highest ever awarded for a gin.

‘Floral notes with a real depth of citrus fruit. Clean, akin to hanging laundry, with supreme balance and integration. The palate has lots of peppercorn complexity and a touch of woody oiliness. All-encompassing.’

‘Honour the past, then make it better.’

Aureus Vita

The result of a 12-year, science-led pursuit of perfection. Made with KMDC’s own patent-pending Fibonacci-Hall still, Aureus Vita delivers is bottled at a hefty 61.8% ABV, yet delivers exceptional botanical complexity, satisfying harmony, and a length of flavour unheard of for a gin.

Launched in 2025, it has already won Gold Medals at the American Distilling Institute International Spirits Competition 2025, and the San Francisco World Spirits Competition 2025.

‘A totally astonishing gin. On a completely different level from any other gin I’ve ever tasted. Slightly viscose. Amazing complexity of flavours. One to drink neat or maybe in a martini with the tiniest drip of vermouth.’

Master of Malt customer review, 2026

‘Believe the hype. By harnessing the golden ratio to botanical extraction through their unique still design, this spirit delivers wave after wave of finely tuned botanical character. Complex, yet refined and supremely textured, Aureus Vita takes London Dry to new heights.’

Oscar Dodd, Buyer, Wine & Spirits, Fortnum & Mason

‘Aureus Vita was created to challenge. I wanted to give people something they could enjoy, but push boundaries at the same time. Something new, something that defies everything you thought gin could be.’

Vapoura Rum

From meticulous small-batch distillation in our copper pot stills to the pristine purity of our Cornish borehole water, Vapoura is a world class spirit rum. Every detail is controlled in-house for uncompromising quality. We make our own spice mix and ferment the beautiful Mauritius Molasses right here on site.

Chapter One (ABV 38%) is our classic spiced rum. Triple-distilled, then finished in cask with Cornish Oak soaked in Sherry. Key botanicals include blood orange, pink peppercorn, and ginger. The result is a fresh but rich citrus-forward drink.

Chapter Two (ABV 42%) is a mature golden rum with a rich velvety mouth-feel and a complex finish with notes of caramel, vanilla, chocolate and tobacco. Sip neat over ice, or use it as a base for an extra special Old Fashioned.

‘I am genuinely proud of these Rums. It is so easy to cut corners with Rum, especially spiced rum. I see it all the time and consumers often have no idea what flavourings and colourings have been added. I won’t compromise our principles and although it took a lot of formulation, I genuinely feel we’ve crafted two liquids that really push the boundaries of the spiced and cask-aged rum categories.’

John Hall

‘Warm and refined, it’s characterised by flavours of nutmeg, blood orange, vanilla, pink peppercorns and cardamom to create a balanced profile. Lipsmackingly good with a beautiful bottle to boot.’

Ultra Small Batch Single Malt English Whisky

Currently in development, with the first release due in 2028/29. Expect radical but harmonious, long-lasting flavours and finishes.

Our whiskies use Maris Otter malt, an ancient heritage English Barley rarely seen in whisky production because of its low yield. It’s been chosen for its especially rich and complex flavour.

The versatility of our distillation set up allows us to make different styles and expressions, but cask selection is paramount in blending our new-make character with the correct maturation profiles. Our inaugural release has been aged in PX quarter casks (125L) because we wanted the extra surface area contact to add complexity faster. With our later releases we hope to develop and progress the flavours to make sure our distillery character shines through in everything we make.
